Social Impact & Sustainability

Delivering Social Value Through Responsible Business

At Tarem Services, creating meaningful social impact is central to how we operate. As a Living Wage employer and socially responsible service provider, we are committed to supporting people, strengthening communities, and protecting the environment.

Our approach focuses on delivering measurable social value through responsible employment, community engagement, and environmental sustainability, ensuring the services we provide benefit both our clients and the wider communities we serve.

Supporting Communities

We support vulnerable communities by organising Mobile Foodbank distribution events for individuals and families experiencing hardship.

These events provide a welcoming and accessible environment where local residents can receive essential food support while connecting with their community.

Fair and Responsible Employment

Creating opportunity and helping reduce in-work poverty is an important part of our social impact commitment.

Tarem Services is a Living Wage employer, committed to fair pay, inclusive employment, and responsible business practices. Our employee ownership model also ensures that our team shares in the success of the organisation.

You can learn more about our approach on our About Us page.

Championing Environmental Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is embedded into how Tarem Services grows.

For every new client contract, we offset at least 1 tonne of CO₂ through projects verified under the Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) in partnership with Carbon Footprint Ltd. This commitment ensures that our growth contributes to meaningful environmental impact.

The programme supports tree planting in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya, helping to restore degraded land, strengthen biodiversity, and create employment opportunities for local communities.

To learn more about the project, you can visit the Carbon Footprint tree planting programme.

Transparency Through Our Social Impact Reports

Transparency and accountability are central to our work. Our annual Social Impact Reports provide detailed insights into our initiatives, achievements, and measurable outcomes.
